Almutawakel

Almutawakel won the fourth Dubai World Cup in 1999.

The four year old son of Machiavellian out of Elfaslah (Green Dancer) beat Malek and Victory Gallop, who had won the Belmont in 1998.

Almutawakel was trained by Saeed bin Suroor and ridden by Richard Hills.

The strong eight horse field also included Silver Charm, trying to defend his 1998 Dubai World Cup crown, as well as 1998 Epsom Derby winner high Rise and Daylami.
